Blood tests

• Glomerular filtration rate (GFR)- Used to measures how finely your kidneys are filtering your blood.
• Serum creatinine- Creatinine is a waste product found in large quantity in the blood of people with kidney dysfunction.
• Blood urea nitrogen (BUN)- Concentration pf this also shows kidney dysfunction.

Urine tests

• Urinalysis- In this urine sample is tested with a dipstick for pH to measure abnormal amounts of blood, glucose, protein, or bacteria.
• Albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR)- This test detects the quantity of the protein albumin in your urine.
• 24-hour urine collection- All the urine under 24 hours is collected for testing.
